About Regina Dengler

I chose the name Touching Well for my practice as it expresses my intention: respectful and nurturing touch to support clients in their journey called life.

I did my initial Massage training more than 20 years ago. I had discovered Massage and loved it right from the word go, both giving and receiving it. It was just like magic.

I also attended lots of other courses and groups, many related to bodywork, such as Postural Integration, Pulsing, Reichean bodywork and Gestalt and Lomi bodywork.

After the birth of my daughter, Sonja, in 1996, I studied Aromatherapy at the Long Eaton Skills Shop. Later I qualified in Seated Acupressure, a technique often used for massage at the work place. Already in my training I found it was a very efficient way for releasing upper body tension, while leaving the client focused and alert.

In 2001 I was introduced to No Hands Massage and paid for the training course using my individual learning voucher - remember them? What a revelation!!! I took to this kind of Massage like a duck to water.

From this course onwards I was determined to build up my practice, so that everyone could experience this marvelous touch. It took a lot of hard work, training and expense and for the last five years I have been very busy.

I have also trained in pregnancy and post natal Massage and Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Most recently I qualified in Reflexology.

I love the varied nature of my work: pregnant mums; on-site work; fairly vigorous and also very gentle Massage; helping people with lymphoedema. I think I have the best job in the world – people feel wonderful and I get paid for it.

What is next? Well, in the last year I have discovered psychodramactic bodywork with Susan Aaron, which is a dynamic combination of Psychodrama and Shiatsu.

My practice is based on Carlton Hill in Nottingham.
