Supervision
& Mentoring

I have always found it useful to have a place to offload, reflect on clients that “pressed my buttons”, or where I did not know how to go proceed. Or to address wider issues, where my practice is going (or not going as the case may be), charging structure, work/life balance, etc.

I would like to offer this space to my colleagues – bodyworkers, holistic practitioners, therapists of all stripes, and the wider community of colleagues in the helping professions.

You can reach Touching Well by mobile: 0794 227 6538, or via our landline 0115 648 9636, or the contact form.

Opening times: Monday to Thursday daytime

I hope to see you soon. With warm regards, Regina

About Regina

I have been considering for a while how I can use my skill set to support fellow practitioners (not only in the massage and bodywork field) in their work and indeed in their lives. One way of doing this is mentoring and/or supervision. I have decided to train as a supervisor.

I have completed all four modules of supervisor training with Joan Wilmot and Robin Shohet from Centre for Team Development (CSTD) in London. CSTD has been the leading training organisation for supervision since 1979.

What does supervision do?

  • it helps the supervisee to be more present
  • it supports you to be the best version of your (professional) self
  • perhaps some super-vision - to see what is really there
  • and on a more practical level it is an opportunity to explore and support your practice: for example to get some help and insight in your work with clients; explore boundaries; … whatever is needed.

What do you get if you decide to be supervised by me?

  • my time and my intention to be present for you
  • a willingness to be beside you as a fellow practitioner
  • my experience of life: my professional life and my personal journey; I have more than 25 years of experience of working with clients to improve physical, emotional and mental/spiritual well-being through massage, bodywork and communication.
  • a willingness to learn and be in contact with you. This will include making mistakes, if not, something is wrong.
  • an opportunity to look at the process, to explore what is going on underneath the content. Obviously, we will also work with the content, the practicalities, depending on the situation.

Group supervision

I offer supervision in small groups of 4 to 6 supervisees. This way you will not only get supervision from me, but the combined wisdom of the group.

On a practical level:

Individual supervision:

  • Charge: £30 per hour for my first 50 individual supervision sessions
  • Location: at mine in Carlton in Nottingham or online
  • During the first session we will work out a contract, and we'll take it from there.

Group supervison:

  • £10 per person per session, committment to four group supervision sessions, so £40 to be paid in advance.
  • Contract will be sent and agreed beforehand.

I will leave you with an invitation to think of a "sparkling moment" in your recent practice and write it down. I would be delighted to hear about this if - or when - we meet for supervision.

With warm regards,

Regina
