Hi Regina,
I have lymphoedema and am interested in static dry cupping alongside MLD. I have seen conflicting information on the Internet (Dr Google!) about if dry cupping, with static glass type cups, aids or potentially harms lymph vessels.
I know you offer dry cupping and will know if it's safe for leg lymphoedema?
Thanks so much!
Hello,
I think dry cupping is generally safe for lymphoedema, as long as the level of suction is right and the tissue is not fragile. I have glass cups, as well the Hevatec machine, which offers pulsating suction levels. Cupping is a form of myofascial release as it moves to tissues underneath and next to the cups.
As you know, the most important treatment for lymphoedema of the leg is compression and staying active.
